Baby Products
As a parent, you are guaranteed your fair share of worry. There is no shortage of subject matter to worry about from day one of parenthood extending into your child’s adult years. It comes with the territory. I’d love to wave a magic wand and help you avoid sleepless nights, but the best I can do is to help you mitigate some of that worry with information. In that vein, I have a valuable resource for you to stay abreast of all issues with consumer products so you can avoid products under investigation or with warning flags!
Please know first of all that all products on the market today are not safe. So many products on the market are made with chemicals that were introduced several decades ago. Since then, scientists have found that many of these chemicals are related to cancer, asthma, birth defects and fertility problems. You can find some of these toxic chemicals in our soaps, shampoos, furniture, mattresses and more. Unfortunately, in many cases, manufacturers don’t even have to list their ingredients!
For years, I have personally followed and used (and contributed to) the Environmental Working Group or EWG. They have, since 1993, tracked chemical safety and called out the companies that use the bad chemicals. EWG is a go-to resource for parents and consumers nationwide. I believe you will love checking them out and using EWG.org as a valuable resource. Plus they recently they added a Baby Care Section. …Perfect timing for you now!
